"For You"
Hi there,
I’m releasing a new song every Tuesday from now until my new EP Heavy Light comes out on 4.5.22. The first one is called "Beefcake" and the second one is called “Life on the Playground”.
The third one is called “For You”. Listen to it here.
The original title for “For You” was “Asthma”; When I’m stressed, I look for melodies that regulate my breathing to sing, help me take deep breaths, alleviate the tightness in my chest. The lyric grew from my realization that life had changed and it was time for me to show up in ways I hadn’t before. I found my way in a new, unfamiliar world by being there and trying to do better for others than was done for me.
I play guitars and sing on this song, supported by Andrew Daly Frank on guitars and bass, Ben Wagner on drums, and Ian Wayne on synthesizers. It was produced by Ian Wayne and Andrew Daly Frank, engineered by Ian Wayne and Andrew Daly Frank, and mastered by Mike Gillilian at Giltone Mastering.
Love,
Charlie
